Dr. Michael Collins  (drcollins@communitychiropractic.com)

Dr. Collins Dr. Michael Collins was raised in the Springfield area and has lived here all his life. He comes from a medical background as his father is a cardiologist and several of his brothers and sisters are registered nurses.

Dr. Collins was injured as a high school wrestler and for over 10 years had to deal with the pain because the medical route held no answers to correcting the problem and relieving the pain. A friend told him about Dr. Michael O'Connor, so he went. After several treatments he noticed there was a great deal of improvement to his low back. Now he is happy and very physically active with his second chance at an active life. It was because of this experience, he wanted to become a chiropractor.

Before chiropractic school he went to the University of the State of New York and received his associate's degree as a registered nurse. Being a nurse for over 15 years has helped him understand the need for compassionate people in the health care field. He wanted to do more for the people he came in contact with, and as he became friends with his chiropractor, he knew that was the way to do it. He went to the University Of Bridgeport College Of Chiropractic in Bridgeport, CT. While in school he gained clinical experience working in the health clinic at the university and at a community clinic, the park city clinic in Bridgeport, CT. He graduated in 2008 and since graduation he has been doing coverage work for several offices in Massachusetts.

He has a wife Julie and three children Stephanie 14, Tabitha 11, and Michael 7.
